A Message From “The Family”: On Surviving the Reign of King Trump

Mister Rand has requested us to speak concerning Donald Trump, the individual who was affirmed as the incoming President of the United States of America. Mister Rand has many fears concerning him: Rand fears that his instability will cause him to employ a nuclear arsenal against countries that annoy him or threaten his self-esteem; that he will take away Mister Rand’s Medicare and Social Security; that he will put Mister Rand into a concentration camp for being a homosexual, spiritualist non-Christian, or Jewish on his father’s side. Mister Rand’s fears are many, and that is the power that Mister Trump wields: the power that chaos has to stimulate fear in individuals dwelling in physical reality.

In the Tarot-based system of personality analysis channeled by Mister Rand and  his now deceased partner, Stuart Lucker, Donald Trump partakes of the aspect of the Divine that standard Tarot decks call The Devil. In Mister Rand’s “Tarot of You” system, The Devil card is named The Pan Essence.

We should like to share with you some facts concerning Pan Essence people, and Mister Trump in particular, for the purpose of both allaying some of Mister Rand’s worse fears, and providing insight into how Mister Trump is likely to behave during his reign as king of America. For that is what he wishes to be seen as: a king on a throne, stern yet benevolent, dealing out largesse to his friends and followers, and death or ruin to his enemies.

How, Mister Rand asks, could the mass consciousness of physical reality have chosen such a person to head up the American government? To this we reply, from our perspective, that the mass consciousness did not in fact choose Donald Trump to be king of America. The mass consciousness chose the Sanders man to be the next President.

But there are many levels to the mass consciousness, including a shadow level in which live all the fears that persons are not willing to examine; and the Greater Self saw that it was time for those fears to come to light, lest they erupt in a Holocaust of force, threat, and blame. And so it was that enough individuals voted for Mister Trump that the electoral college of your America, frightened by the threat of reprisal should they vote according to conscience, chose to acknowledge Mister Trump as the new king. In this the collegians hoped that, whatever befell during Trump’s reign, at least they would be spared the worst of the repercussions.

Understand that the Greater Self cannot make people do what they do not wish to do. It can tweak probability lines in order to make certain outcomes more or less likely to manifest, but most of the time It is dependent upon the willingness of conscious beings to serve as its hands, feet, voice, and eyes in spacetime. And Its power to work through the hearts, brains, and actions of conscious beings is considerable.

We say this as preface to answering Mister Rand’s fears concerning Mister Trump and the chaos he might bring into physical reality during his tenure as President of the United States.

It is important to understand that Pan Essence individuals channel through their bodyminds the principle of unpredictability. “Pan” in ancient Greek means “everything,” and Pan Essence people can move in any number of unpredictable directions from moment to moment, based upon their Ruling Passion: the desire to satisfy their appetites for sex, food, praise, power, vengeance, and freedom from moral restraint.

The number one desire of Mister Trump is to be a more powerful figure than the father he resented and feared. A narcissist, he naturally believes himself to be the center of the universe, entitled to receive anything he desires without effort on his part. Contemptuous of those he deems weaker than himself, envious of those who seem happier than he, and enraged by those who judge him as stupid or laughable, Mister Trump seeks dominance in all areas that interest him.

This is consonant with the Pan Essence, which connects to its emotional body, the Lightning Essence, through the Essence of the Emperor. The Emperor represents the physical, political, and economic structures of spacetime. The Lightning represents the holy madness that characterizes direct experience of the divine. So power,  to Mister Trump, is a drug far more addictive than nicotine or heroin.

In its most extreme manifestations, it causes those addicted to it to wish they were gods. On the other hand, Mister Trump connects to his spiritual aspect, the Death Essence, through the Essence of the Sun. Mister Trump greatly fears death, because in death all consciousnesses return to their state of union with the Greater Self.

And the Pan Essence’s connection with the Sun gives Mister Trump an insatiable craving for attention and approval. He wishes to be lauded as a benevolent dictator, and his fantasy is that, once his enemies are punished and those he wishes to impress are suitably bound to him by his benevolent placings of them into power, the world will come to worship him as the Great Daddy, far surpassing the successes of his physical father, whom he has always felt judged and overshadowed by.

And as the Sun shines its radiance into all areas of the world, so Mister Trump wishes the force of his personality to daw the rich and powerful into orbits around him, so that his appetites for wealth, status, and sensual gratification may continue to be satisfied.

The sad fact, however, is that for the Pan Essence individual, appetite is never satisfied. Always the consumption leads to more and more hunger. And in the end, the chaos at the heart of the Pan person will consume him.

What, then, says Mister Rand, can people do to survive the reign of a self-absorbed, emotionally unstable, addiction-prone narcissist? Will he bring about nuclear war? Will he, as Mussolini did in 1930s and ’40s Italy, make Fascism the new norm for American politics? In the most probable scenarios of the future as we see them, there are several great likelihoods:

(1) Mister Trump does not wish to do much work as President; he wishes to leave that work up to his closest followers, as long as he receives the credit for it. So the persons to watch closely are the Vice President, the members of Mister Trump’s cabinet, and those he places into power over various government agencies. It is these persons in particular who must be watched, their selfishness exposed, and their actions resisted. And they can be resisted to a great extent, if those politicians not aligned with Mister Trump are willing to risk loss of power and status by opposing the worst of Trump’s circle’s exploitation of resources.

(2) Mister Trump sees Vladimir Putin as a template of powerful manhood, and there is a strong likelihood that Mister Trump may attempt to exert controls over media, the Internet, and the economy [similar to those] that Mister Putin has put into effect in Russia. But in this, too, Mister Trump will be forced to think twice about the consequences of his actions when he comes face to face with the resistance of social [and political] activists in Congress, not all of whom will be Democratic Party members.

(3) As the impoverishing effects of Trump economic policies begin to be felt by working class men and women, there is likely to be backlash against him in the press, and against local politicians who supported his policies … As tensions increase, we see a strong likelihood of increased attacks upon populations seen by many as marginalized: specifically, sexual, ethnic, and religious minorities.

These must be countered by locally organized groups of the law-abiding. Many police officers will be among those who resist and decry hate crimes, and you have already seen many cities around your nation who have declared themselves safe havens for the marginalized…In the Congress and Senate, many will vie for Mister Trump’s approval and benisons, and there will be increasing rivalry amongst those who wish to rise in his estimation. Attempts will certainly be made to initiate impeachment proceedings, but these will only succeed when he turns against so many of his sycophants that they are awakened from their trances of power.

The chief strategem we recommend is that of building community on a local level, community devoted to protecting and assisting one another. The fantasy of independence must give way to the reality that interdependence—mutual support and exchange—is the stronger path to balancing the chaos. Spiritual and moral leaders will emerge, especially amongst the younger people, who will be galvanized into action as their consciences are awakened and passion for freedom stimulated.

Likewise must pass away is the fantasy of the Fisher King: of finding an earthly Father or Mother who, in exchange for our worship and resources, will make us safe and happy and protect us from our enemies. Your hands are the hands of Divine Love and Light; your voice, Its voice; and if you are willing to entrust every part of you to Its care, you will experience success and peace beyond your wildest dreams.

And we thank you for sharing.

Visions of Divine Love: An Audio Talk

Spent last Sunday morning giving a little talk at the Celebration, a spiritual congregation in Santa Fe. I told them about some spiritual experiences that I had last fall. Those of you who are interested in this sort of thing might enjoy giving my talk a listen. Of course, being a Pisces, I got choked up with emotion several times.

The Ruling Passion Exercise

ImageThe Ruling Passion Exercise is designed to help you clarify what it is you really want in a life, date, relationship, career, job, vacation, pet, community, home, religion, garden—anything you can imagine. My clients and I have found it useful because like many folks, we often confuse what we really, truly want deep down with what we think we really want, what peers, bosses, coworkers, family, life-partner and society tell us we should want, and what we think we can get.

The Ruling Passion Exercise is based on the idea that we all come into physical reality to create certain experiences for ourselves, experiences which, if left unfulfilled, may cause us to feel that we have wasted our lives. This exercise is also based on the idea that we each have a Greater Self who knows what we really want, and is constantly seeking to nudge us toward the experiences that will give us the greatest joy and satisfaction.

It’s not enough to have a dream. We must also know what experiences we wish that dream to give us. Armed with such knowledge, we can work out a practical strategy for translating our dream into physical reality without having to waste years of effort following false trails.

Instructions:

  1. Set a timer for 5-10 minutes.
  2. At the top of the form fill in the blank following the title phrase WHAT I REALLY WANT IN MY IDEAL (career, life-partner, vacation, etc). I.e., write down the general category of dream you would like to clarify in this exercise.
  3. Start the timer.
  4. Beginning with line 1 above, list all the physical, emotional, intellectual, and spiritual pleasures, benefits, experiences, or qualities you would like from your exercise’s chosen topic in an ideal world. This last is very important. Forget about past failures or successes. Set aside just for the 5-10 minutes of the exercise all the reasons why you imagine you cannot have what you really want: your age (“I’m too old!”), looks (“I’m too fat!”), money (“I’m too poor!”), status (“I have too many people depending on me”), level of ability (“I flunked out”), character shortcomings (“I’m too lazy”), fears (“What if I fail? I’ll be a laughing stock”), and self-condemnations (“I’m too much of a screw-up; nothing like this could ever happen to me”).
  5. Write as quickly as you can, with as little self-editing as possible. Don’t be alarmed if some of the things you write down are “politically incorrect”, shocking, or unexpected. When you run out of ideas, stop.
  6. If you have not listed twenty-one, ask yourself, “Am I really being honest with myself?” If you can’t think of anything to list at all, ask yourself, “Whom do I know or have read about who has the successes, qualities, or experiences I would like to incorporate into my dream?” If you still can’t think of twenty-one things you want our of your ideal dream, try turning the exercise on its head: try listing twenty-one things you would hate your dream to bring you. Then write down next to these hates their opposites. (You may also set aside the exercise for a day or so and return to it.)

Next: Evaluating Your Ruling Passion List

Moving Day

In two days I am returning to Santa Fe, New Mexico, where I lived for 24 years before coming to the Denver area late in 2011. When I first came to the Denver area, my health was poor. I was in shock from the sudden death of my beloved husky, Blessing, and the sudden loss of my home, job, and mobility. Had an Aurora friend not invited me to come and stay in her house, I would have been homeless.

ImageNow, nearly a year and a half later, I am moving back to Santa Fe. The new friends I have made in Colorado are not happy about this; they fear for my economic stability, returning as I am to a state with widespread unemployment and a vast gap between rich and poor. It is also a fact that New Mexico has one of the highest rates of spousal abuse, child abuse, drug abuse, animal abuse, and drunk driving fatalities in the nation. Public support is available to assist the underemployed and the ill, but that support has dwindled under New Mexico’s present governor, a well-to-do Republican with little sympathy for those who seek “entitlements.”

Moving is never easy. It is particularly difficult right now because I have had a falling out with the friend in whose house I have been staying, and I am ashamed and saddened by this. No one is at fault particularly; we have simply discovered that our private wounds make us incompatible housemates. But it is hard having to acknowledge that another’s life has been improved by my leaving it. I will also miss my friend’s dog, a black Labrador who has been a hugbuddy and companion to me during my mourning over Blessing.

Sudden, painful change is built in to physical reality. It is represented by the Tarot cards Death, the Lightning-Struck Tower, and the Devil (which I have renamed Pan). These three Tarots are not necessarily cards of moral evil or physical destruction, although they can be. At root they signify the powers and influences over which the human will has no conscious control, powers and influences that trigger physical, emotional, and comprehension changes that one must acknowledge, accept, and adapt to or die. It is human nature to resist such transformation even when part of us longs for it. But in some circumstances, as the Daleks might put it, resistance is futile.

My story is by no means a tragedy. I am moving into a house with good neighbors in a safe neighborhood, and I have been overwhelmed by the loving support of friends all over the country, who with their contributions of time, money, and encouragement are making this move possible. My cat, Urdwill, will like it there, too. And I am looking forward to reuniting with old Santa Fe friends.

But I can no longer deceive myself. No change is permanent. Reality is both a particle and a waveform, and life is a balancing act. And when you are old, as I am, you must give up the fantasy of total self-reliance and total independence and embrace interdependence, community, and mutuality. As my friend Jerry told me the other day, “It’s time for you to accept the love people want to show you.” How strange that this is so difficult.

On Fear of the World’s End: A Trance-Talk by “The Family”

Fear is the consciousness level that stifles all ability to imagine hope and safety and a better life. It arises from a sense of Threat, which is a partner to a sense of one’s [ability or] inability to control all aspects of one’s reality.

Many of the questions asked of Mister Rand and by Mister Rand in regard to the changes taking place at this time in Physical Reality are connected to the consciousness level of to Threaten.

Danger has always been a part of Physical Reality, because Physical Reality is the only level of reality in which one’s resources for creating according to one’s immediate desires can be limited. In Thought Reality, the Planning State, Dreamtime, Olam Habah, the Plane of Light and Sound and the Plane of the Broadest Self, creation takes place at a word, and there is inexhaustible energy for the monad or individualized consciousness to draw upon in its experimentations with itself.

converted PNM fileBut in Physical Reality resources must be shared with many other creatures, and in fact oneself is a resource for others to use. For each being in Physical Reality will reach a state in which the body will return to the elements of which it is composed and thereby feed other physicalized entities newly finding expression in the physical matrix. This process of releasing the body and one’s use of the body is called death, and it is death that is most feared by beings in Physical Reality — death, or the dying process, which can be unpleasant as the body is denied its needs and begins to shut down.

Hope is the remedy for fear. But hope does not arise in a vacuum. Hope arises through the interaction of the fearful person with his or her support systems, for belief and support are mirrors of one another. If you surround yourself with beings who care nothing for you, or who do not even know who you are, as in great cities where millions of persons live anonymously in tiny family groups or singly in monads, neither knowing their neighbors nor caring to be known by them, the sense of isolation from potential crisis support can increase fear and therefore decrease hope.

Humans are group animals. They are meant to thrive best in groups. So the answer to the questions of what to do in Physical Reality now that the changes of 2012 are approaching is, Find your group support. Offer support to others in the group, and ask for support in return. Learn to share and receive. For in this hope will be born. And if financial resources are individually smaller, the greater resources will be larger, for the group will pool resources to help all its individual members.

How do you find your group? You find your group based on mutually accepted beliefs and values. In other times and cultures, and in Northern New Mexico among the local old families, kinship groups are the groups to which one turns for mutual support in times of trouble. And among many places in the world this is still true. But among many of you who read this, your ties with your kinship groups are strained and no longer existing owing to the deaths or moving away physically or emotionally of the other members of these groups. So looking to such groups for support is not practical for you.

If you have no group to turn to, then you must either find one or create one. You can find one using such resources as online or asking counselors or religious personnel where you can find persons who care for the things you care about and yearn for the things for which you yearn. Or you can advertise on the Interweaving of the Net for persons who share your ideas and concerns to contact you. Or you can put up fliers at stores, or take out advertisements in magazines and other periodicals.

Remember however what such a group can and cannot do. It can give you support, but it cannot support you. That is, it can support you in finding the resources and strategies for helping yourself emotionally spiritually and even financially in some cases. But it cannot and ought not be asked to take care of these needs for you. The reason for this is that you have come into Physical Reality as a sovereign entity with responsibility to create according to your uniqueness. And to give others the responsibility of caring for you as though you were a little child without power or hope is not righteous or balanced.

When pain arises in the mind, we feel it is of no good to deny it is there. We feel the better course is to express the pain, verbally to one who cares or in writing, and then read the writing to one who cares. The act of writing one’s pain without editing or making it neat and tidy helps the soul step aside and observe its pain as one observes a reflection in the mirror. It begins the process of disidentifying with the pain. Note that disidentifying with the pain does not mean denying the pain is real. This is a mistake some religious persons make who say there is no sickness or death. Sickness or death undoubtedly exist in Physical Reality.

That is why even the Bible says, do not greet a sufferer with the prayer, “Be warmed and filled,” and then take no steps in Physical Reality to assist him or her. And always remember that it is better to help someone learn to fish than to fish for them, as long as you give him or her [enough] fish [to eat at] the outset so that he or she can gain enough strength to pay attention to your fishing lessons.

One prayer that is useful to pray in times of distress is, “Good, show me what I have of You.” Another is, “Good, protect me and my loved ones until it is our proper time to release our bodies and expand into focus upon our nonphysical reality.” Another is, “Help me live today without fear.” For “One day at a time” is not simply what Mister Rand calls a bumper sticker slogan. It is how time works in the linear consciousness.

As for the economic distresses in the country of the United States, we feel that the current difficulties will not be solved in three years or even five, but may take as long as seven years before stability is established and prosperity begins again to grow. The current president is engaged in a careful game of chess, playing one side and then another, taking moderate stances so that others will step forward and act and so he can say, well what could I do they overruled me. In this way he helps fight the notion that he is the king of America and the savior of the world. He is not and he knows he is not, however much the people may wish for a savior and a king and a daddy and a rescuer.

If you have the means to purchase land in the country where there is fertile soil and water, and you have the youth and physical strength to work this land in order to raise food, this may increase your hope of control over your future. And so you may consider doing this. But many if not most persons do not have these economic or physical means. For them, the best approach is to band together to help one another out with food, shelter, health support, and chores, in communal living arrangements or simply in extended communities living within one geographical area.

Resist isolation, which is the work of fear. What value is survival if one survives while all around there is death and evil? That is not a world worth surviving in. Resist death and evil by banding together to pressure local governments to act correctly with your resources.

Stop looking for the Ascended Masters to save you. They will not save you, nor will 2012 change everything effortlessly, bringing angels with harps or happy UFOs down from heaven to make humans love one another. You are the Ascended Master. You are the UFO. You are the angel. Ask what is in you to be revealed to you, then set forth to do what it urges you to do.

2012 in your calendar system is 2 plus 1 plus 2 or 5 which means change, the Tarot Triad of the Hanged One, the Hermit, and the Lovers. Balanced and lasting change arises first from contemplation of the Light; second from contemplation of the self with all its shadows; and third from creating a nest or community with not only one person but with many. Another way to say this is, “What do I need to balance in my life? What do I fear the most? What would make me feel safe?” Another way to say this is, You are the Holy Grail, and everything is safe, even when a rifle is pointed at your head you are, ultimately, safe, for nothing can separate you from Love, the Love in you and the Love around you.

Mister Rand says this is all very well for you to say, you have no bodies. To which we reply, how do you know? And we thank you for sharing.
